Microsoft plain open a data center in France this 2017, with this infrastructure the company will try to improve Azure. The facilities will join the data centers the company has in the Netherlands, Ireland, Germany and the United Kingdom

Microsoft plans to serve its customers in France through multiple local data center hosting, according to the company, right after the announcements of new regions by Amazon and Google.

Specifically, Amazon recently announced that it will open a cloud zone in Paris next year.

Google, for its part, has revealed that for this 2017 will launch another eight cloud regions, one of them in São Paulo.

With this announcement, Microsoft confirms that its Azure cloud service, as well as Office 365 and Dynamics 365, will be available from facilities in France starting this year.

“We continue to invest heavily in cloud infrastructure to meet the growing demand of our European customers and partners,” said Satya Nadella, Microsoft CEO.

Nadella points out that Microsoft has more than doubled its cloud capacity in Europe in the last year, with an investment of more than 3,000 million dollars in the continent to date.

The company already has data center hubs in the Netherlands and Ireland, as well as new facilities recently opened in Germany and the United Kingdom.
